Equipment Shelves

Some very interesting things were kept behind the front desk here... foot cuffs, wrist restraints and other goodies. Unfortunately, only these labels remain.

mmmmm i wonder what it would be like to work in a mental hospital...
"A place for everything, and everything in it's place."
If only i could find some. id use them on my brothers
Oh dear. These aren't for happy time.
If I had them, I would use them on my kids!
A few notes on what it's like to work in a mental hospital:
--every day is different
--there's always more to learn
--don't take anything too personally
--every patient is first of all a person with a unique story and unique needs and gifts
--humor goes a *long* way
--tons of rules, and tons of paper work!
quite scary really but it just amazes me that most of these it just seems like everyone just got up and walked out its weird
WOW. Words cant explain
Certainly there were times when violently psychotic patients really needed to be restrained though I saw nurses acting out and creating false incidents so they could assert their power over the powerless patients who "asked too many questions." And don't forget most of the patients put in restraints also recieved chemical restraint injections of Haldol, Prolixen, Thorazine etc. Fun times!!! Not!
wow thats sad
Mental patients are people with a disease, and they are all unique people just like each and every one of us. It is sad that such bold language is used for all to see.
