one can actually still go in there and do a frankenstein project with the stuff they left.
older tansformers are often filled with Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) to keep them cool. nasty stuff
These are incredible - and still so shiny. They must weigh an absolute ton... not surprised they were left in situ.
these look newer therefore would have no pcbs
If they don't have PCB's they will say "NON PCB" if they don't have that marking. . . .then don't drink the contents :P
They have the appearance of stately owls.
As stated, filled with PCB oils. If one of those was opened, it would require a massive cleanup. How careless to leave something so deadly behind... I wouldn't have even gone in the room once I saw that...
Looking at those and the new safety symbol they are mid 80's early 90's in age and do not contain PCB;S.
Those appear to be newer transformers.
Way too new to contain PCB's... But sill worth some money , can't believe thay left them there?
