Dark Corridor

Sometimes these connecting corridors look very sinister.

Edgewood hospital was located about a half mile from this building
www.edgewoodhospital.com
most of these buildings were connected through the basements multiple tunnels....some of them got gated. but still very spooky.
Thats so freaky...i would freak out if and when i go there....
What a site, I remember walking through the tunnels at CISH I never mined but I was young and not affraid of anything, those were the days.
Many of these places arent that creapy in the BOO haunted way. They are creapy in the fact that alot of mental pain went on with in these walls. They are more sad than scary.
Yeah your right Lexy...it just makes you think....:-(
I would like to know more about these tunnels if anyone has any info
Cool......but, creepy...
Is this the house which was used for High Spirits with Shirley Ghostyman? On BBC TV. The house of the Phsycic idols version?

I lived in Brentwood, NY until I was 12 yrs old. That was in the 1960's-early 70's. I can remember the school bus driving through the grounds of Pilrgrim State hosp on my way to NorthWest Elementry school. Whenever we drove through on the bus, my memory of patients screaming through the iron bars on the windows, and some very lost people sleeping on the bench seats throughout the grounds. That memory stays with me today, some 40 years later. Love to have a book on the whole history, and pictures of Pilgrim State Hosp. Does anyone know where I could find that? Pls let me know.
"The Farm Colonies" by Leo Polanski has a wealth of information about the hospital and the others on Long Island, and Pilgrim also has a great museum; visits can be arranged by appointment.
My Grandmother was the chief of medicine and surgery here for something like 30 years. My Dad used to take my Brother and myself to visit her at work sometimes - and we had to walk down a hallway like this... unsettling to a pre-teen, suffice to say...
Thats fucked up !!
