(This had nothing to do with pilgrim hospital) was anything ever done to the edgewood property after it was demolished?
No, the former Edgewood site is park land now. There's nothing left except trees and some chunks of concrete.
Is the morgue still there, is it possible to get part sform there (ie the doors, tracks, stops, handles, etc?) I do alot of repair work for the city medical examiner's(OCME) and queens, brooklyn and bellvue still have the old equip which is hard to come by.
Nice!
These pictures come so..vividly morbid...
IM A LICENSED FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND I WOULD LIKE TO TOUR THE MORGUE
Im like totally wow'ed by these picture...i love it all..its so amazing!!!!!!!! me n my fiend might go there and walk around outside...ppl say it changes your point of veiw on life...and this is the most amazing thing i ever could see it just brightens me and yet it sucks for the ppl who were done things to and said no..i wish i knew more of wat happened to the people in there!!

There are a few buildings that are still up that you can visit, people please Email me at Darkstarhero@mail.com
ehhh ... I would totally like not wanna be stuffed inside one of those little ass drawers... Dead or alive
I've been there. My ex, a couple of friends and I went there. It was terrifying being in there in the dark with nothing but a flashlight. It totally freaked me out. After we went into this one building I freaked out and ran outside and underneath the car... But seriously the most creepy thing about this place isn't even being outside of it.. It is driving through at night past the buildings.
I remember this room well. It never failed that when you had to bring a body here all the lower draws were full!
is that dried blood on there?
Just thinking of the grudge, is that black hair coming out of the ceiling? I doubt there is any monoke in that building.
LENNY!!!! LOL, its pat bro, yeah they havent torn all of them down yet, but they boarded a few of them up, that morgue is really creepy when you're in it, the whole building is. DO NOT GO INTO THE SERVICE TUNNELS!!!! part of them are just wrecked but the rest are really freaky, even during the day they are dark and its like being in a scary movie...
I would love to talk a walk around the grounds had no clue that was possible... drove around there not to long ago had security escort me out ..
What the fuck is the hair coming out of the body freezer, You may never answer this, but this photo is fucking driving me nuts, What the hell IS that??
I know the entire story behind Pilgrim. Pretty much if they haven't written it on paper to the press i know what happened. i do hope everyone looking at these pictures knows that Pilgrim has to this day the highest death rate of patients. The director of Pilgrim was killing random patients. They would preform "treatments" on the patients til they died. It was extremely grusome. The Halocoust has nothing on what happened at Pilgrim. Death was occuring so fast that the same people sat in the morgue because it was to much work to keep changing out the bodies everyday. There is a cemotary at Pilgrim and then there is "the site" where all the bodies were put. I really hope no one thinks i am making this up, because my greatgrandfather (who is still alive) was the head contractor/election of Pilgrim,(he watched out for the plant and the building) the director ordered him to not built certain places because that was seperate ground. The director also told my greatgrandfather what he was doing to patients, but never why.
Eeeek!!!!!!!
Has anyone ever layed down in one and had someone close the door? Well i have it was awesome...Even thought the door got jamed then i had to kick it open... but it was awesome...
i have been in all yhe empty buildings and found photos of all the suisides email me elainer821@aol.com
Looks like someone's dreads are dangling off that tray...
^ Girl no one's going to give you the time of day until you learn how to spell "suicides". 9_9
looks like a fun place to explore.
just the souls of those who have died their linger on in the beautiful grounds, which is a protected area now.
My mother told me about alot of patients that had wondered off, as they worked on the farm, and were never found.
fascinating yet so bleedin' creepy......... *shudder*
Can sum1 please tell me which building at pilgrim state I can find the morgue?? Been there a few times and no luck
jesica is right.p.s. was a very bad place.driving by you'd see patients looking out. it was a strange place and yes every now and then a body would turn up on the property glad it is gone.god bless the poor souls that were there.
