I see the cat, but there's some writting under the head that I can't make out. Looks like some old-timey advertising. Any ideas?

The cat is inside of a coffee can, you can make out the words pure, one lb and coffee, the word across the top is difficult to make out.

judging by the face of that cat, and the fact that it's in a coffee can, i think it is a kitten.
that's really sad. if this cat was born in that place, it has very little chance of survival. :( i want to save it.

Actually, the more I look at this picture(it makes me laugh), it makes me think the cat is saying, "Keep away from my coffee or i'll give you such a swat!".
As a coffee addict this is how I would react if someone were to try to take away my Starbucks.

With the damage to the print and the way the light hits it, it almost gives it a sort of 'Through the Looking Glass' effect. Like the kitten is on the opposide side of a mirror, trying to break through...

but that begs the question... this is just a picture, right? did you manage to encounter any live cats? I'm always hearing how famous 137 is for being chock full of stray cats, so you had to have seen a few, no? unless they all fell asleep in file cabinets and.... ><

lol don't worry Felyne, I thought the same until just tonight, when I realized the meaning of cat "print". and oi, yes, I can imagine the stink of a cat infestation. I read about those in the paper alot, its really sad. but I can't imagine the smell of so many neglected stray cats, my 3 housecats stink enough!

Wooohoo! Ten fluffy Felyne points to JR! You my friend are now among a very select group who actually gets my sense of humour. We're gonna get along just fine.

And cats may use the carpet (which I would like to point out in a lot of places is growing and nice grassy green) as a litterbox, but I can guarantee you they will never, ever steal your camera (it's against the feline code... that and most cats are so vain they prefer to be in front of the lens, not behind it).

So the moral of this story is, Motts you just be glad they're non-camera stealing cats and nothing much much worse my friend.
