another great shot!
the shot is great but i don't think i would like to enter the building - looks scary---
This is actually the rear of the building, the front faces the entrance off the pwky. I am sure in its prime the building was quite nice. There was a massive scale model layout of the comple and a huge libary with psych books, including books on NY stats hospitals and archives. the admin bldg also housed the hospitals offices and a bell.
I would've liked to see that model!
Wow, that's awesome, thanks Snows.
I had my job interview on the 2nd floor in 1982. I was hired for bldg. #5 as an LPN. I remember the scale model of the hospital. Orientation was held in the old library for Pilgrim's nursing school.
Wow...this place sure has some history...
big one! the colors of all the plant stuff are strange. is it ice?
The majesty of it all.
THAT HUGE SCALE MODEL OF THE COMPLEX IS IN THE PILGRIM MUSEUM AT BLDG #45 OPEN M-F 8AM?-4PM
My Grandfather and my father worked here...between them 1930s to 1980s. each of them retired as Chief Safety Supervisor. I remember spending time at the farm and the powerhouse.
I like how the green is very light, not like a full color green.
this is the most beautiful shot of artwork ive seen in all of my years =]
still looks nice
