why, oh why, do I look at this crap before going to bed?!?!?!?
AGAIN, SIr Motts you have out-done yourself!

Add this one to that list also.
Nighty night!
omg ive been watching websites about this place for 4 years and never seen one pic inside. ive always been iwanting to know what inside since so many websites show only the outside.thanks
If you've ever slept on that thing no wonder you need a nice warm jacket and pretty white padded walls.
EXCELLENT PIC MOTTS, LOOKS LIKE A GREAT PLACE TO NAP, THEN CONTINUE ON YOUR JOURNEY.
I love this picture, it just sends me the image of someone tearing out of the building without warning and as time goes by the place just becomes overtaken
everything about this photographer's thought processes and artist intuition is awsome!
the bed it looks like my bed room exept mine is messier and and a lil more brighter
i feel so bad for all those people that had to live like that expecially the kids.
Great shot. But I cant imagine having patient in a room with windows like that.
You're right Truckie, this is in the administration building. I think the local DSH explorers pushed it into this nice room with no boarded windows from the wards, or at least someone told me a while ago. It might've been pushed out the window by now though.
Possibly somebody (maybe even a hobo) camped out in there one night, and wanted to sleep near an open window, so they brought in a bed from another part of the building.
If I were a tramp, I would love to spend the night there, in stead of the cold streets or a dark forest.
(And by "tramp" I mean "homeless man")
this is what i would call: peace.

damnit great shot!
Mr Motts. Again I can't tell you the memories you have braught back to my mind I would love to chat with you about your visit there, and my memories of that place. Please feel free to contact me at wickedwiccan77@yahoo.com please reference Danvers
GOODNIGHT!!!
awesome room.
It's creepy how there are still sheets on the bed
Nap time anyone?
Do not like it... at all, its way too creepy *shudders*
Looks like the maid hasn't been in in a while. Seriously, This is an amazing shot... you almost feel emotion. it creeps me out... and at the same time gives me decorating ideas. :)
Again, the agony and the exstasy. Breathtaking.
All right, where'smy stuffed animals??
my favorite picture indeed.
That bed, to me, seems like the epitome of isolation. I think the room would actually be quite nice if it were in better condition; I'm sure the view from the two windows must have been incredible. And I love how the light streams in from both directions. But still, that bed...yikes.
once again...scary shot...it is really sad to think of the person who slept in that bed....pretty sad...<3
one of the most creepy shots i have ever looked at gr8 job
its even sadder to think that room dosent even exist anymore !
I can feel the pain radiating from this site...
ONLY ONE PROBLEM WITH THIS PIC! Y IS THE MATTRESS FLOATING ABOVE THE BOX SPING OR FRAME THAT IS SUPPOSED TO HOLD IT UP?
because there is a ghost under it.
I wounder where the soul is who last laid in this bed,is he living else where or is he lost.
it looks like some one has slept in there
OMG! Yes! It does look like someone has been sleeping in there. Homeless, transients, former patients? Can you imagine what it would be like trying to sleep there at night? The quietness! One could here every little sound and wonder; What is that??? And when someone was there sight seeing, you would hear them walking down bellow.. CREEPYYY!! And if an urban explorer happened to walk in there and someone raised up from the bed? Me? I would go through the window..lol
it looks like some one has been sleeping there because there has been spirits need their rest to
somebody's been sleeping in that bed!!
I would have totally jumped out of that window lol nice bed though and theres alot of room not to shabby
omg I can't move
has'nt it been reported that former patients keep going back and sleeping rough?
ok seriously...another pi`ture that reminds me of something i've seen before...it's really creepy b/c when i saw something similar to ths, the blanket was hanging off the bed the same wat this is.
It is amazing that this room is now a very expensive and gorgeous condo w/ optional loft !!

I wonder if they kept and redone the bed?!
The Avalon Bay Danvers condo complex is very nice, they did a great job saving the place from demolition.

I'd love to haunt the place now, if i was one of the ghosts.
this pic is in the top five of the most amazing shots I've ever seen. Could be the top actually.
i love ghost stories BELIVE ME
I would like to know Motts, if you have seen anything paranormal on all your treks in these places. The most active places are even active in the daytime! We just did the overnight ghost hunt at Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum 2 weekends ago, and were not sure about if it would be "hollywood" or just nothing! We came out the next morning with a complete shakeup of our belief system... We saw and heard SO much we just can't explain away... Now, I'm in love with all these Kirkbride and other institutions of past.... Thanks for all your beautiful work and preserving our history!
Yep, I've visited Weston State Hospital before it became open for tours; I saw a security guard patrolling inside the building, but other than that I didn't see anything weird (or anywhere else).
Funny how they seem to show themselves to some but not others...Well,anyways keep up the beautiful work. I am envious of your photo ability!
what. oh my god, this is crazy. i love it
