The buildings are so majestic. I'm glad the windows were boarded-shows a little respect not to leave them to be shattered and fogged up.
wow these are the best pics ive ever seen in my life they look sooo sad like u can feel the pain of the patients who stayed there
I have always liked black and white pictures. I think it was an excellent choice for a building with this kind of rep.
I love that they cared enough to paint the boards they put over the windows. I'm always glad to see some kind of covering over the window holes. It helps slow the aging of the inside of the building down a lot.
And you can't bust the boards by throwing rocks at them, but there is a downside. You can't see through boarded up windows. I was walking around an abandoned gas station a few months back. All locked up but there was some broken windows. I looked in to see there was a car in the service bay!!! I got a couple pictures of it. (LOL)
The boarded-up windows make the building look closed off and introspective, like it's dead to the world now. And maybe it is....
This kind of reminds me of the movie "Rose Red." But, it is a beautiful building with lots of personality!
Reminds me of a castle I saw in Ireland once.
ya it may look like a castle but people weren't treated like royalty there
thank you so much for these photos. it is a crying shame that this place was not left for people to explore.
U can still explore it now duh
Certainly you can, if you are willing to plop down a large down payment and sign a lengthy lease. ;-)
