Wonderful shot! The power of nature coming back to take its' own. And I personally love ferns, immensely old plants growing in an old building is just stunning. Good job Motts!
Totally amazing!
oh my god its great!
I shot the same room from a different angle..did you see the ferns growing in the kitchen? a really cool place and your right about the hallways, they just seem to go on forever..
I wonder if someone who worked there or perhaps even laid the floor down for the first time thought, " you know I bet furns will be growing here 75 years from now."
We had a coat factory here that closed about 1960. By the mid 90's when it was torn down, it had trees growing in it.(swamp sumacs) I explored some of the ground floor in the 80's but didn't venture past the part where the roof caved in.

It's now a vacent lot. I've seen kids playing ball on it. Too young to know what was once there.
the kingdom of nature strikes back. hooray! :)))
This is beautiful! Somehow peaceful.
Ah... They may have been experimenting with HERBAL MEDICINES.... St. Johns Wort... Ginko Biloba...
Theres a building on the grounds that has a huge tree growing from the floor right up through where the roof used to be. Its the one set apart from the main facility up on a small hill. It really blows these pics out of the water.
Well, earth got to this room as like many of the other rooms. In some cases there we plants in them that spilled and built on.
what a lovely garden?......
it seems like youre on the outside of a building looking at a garden path.
great shot.
PRETTY........
Life Goes On.
Somebody got the MiracleGro and the floor wax mixed up again.
For some unknown reason of which I really do not know why;

I have this undying HATRED for all ferns !!!

I have never had any ferns in any of my gardens in the past or present and I will never have any ferns in any of my gardens in the future. To me, ferns are some sort of throw - back plant to pre - historic times.

well, at least SOMETHING was busy in the building while everyone was gone...
WHOAH! An indoor garden would kick ass! Time for me to get to work then.
that's REALLY cool. have you ever experienced anything supernatural in any of these places? i feel like thats a dumb question haha
this is devine
Ferns and moss and a shrub, or a small birch? - Nature overcomes all! It is green and grows. Lushly. Amazing. You are a very brave man, Mr. Motts! Be well and stay in ...................
