Absolutely gorgeous archecteture(sp?)!

It just breaks my heart to see people felt the need to destroy, just because.
I had classes in this building back in the mid 80's-I worked for the DMR (renamed now!) then-and it was still beautiful! It's so sad to see it like this.
TRULY FASCINATING-AN AMERICAN TREASURE-PLEASE DONT GO OLD MAIN
Naturre did most of the destruction! Organ at HCC
Love this pic
The organ was up just beyond mezzanine where you can see. Occasionaly I would go up there an sit and do a joint and join the ghosts of my choosing. It was never melovolent but they usually appreciated my company.
Its like the hospital is dying.
you know what, I'm going to become a million-gazzilionaire, and buy all these hospitals. Then we can have cute little get togethers and go exploring together! Haha, it would be like one of those tacky family gatherings from the 50's, except with a strange twist.
I get upset when I see a photo like this, what is it with destroying everything in these old buildings. I do not understand why people have to be so disrespectful of others belongings and property. Who ever designed this building, had great pride nad a love for architecture, it is truely amazing.
Don't feel too sad Rtotten everything must come to an end one day. It's just good that you feel that way. The care and talent that went into the building of this great ediface wasn't wasted on us. It will always speak and communicate to us who are willing to listen. Nice comment.
yeah i wish people still had "great pride" in architecture. doesnt seem like it these days though. no one seems to have great pride in there old buildings either
:o(
Anyone know the adress of this hospital?
My grandmother spent quite a few years here. It is very wierd to think of this place for what it is now. You all talk about architecture, how about the reality of what this building was? I am an artists and have done quite a few builing drawings I respect that ,trust me. I can just remember the pain that I know my family member went through before the days they could truly diagnose a patient for what they where.
this is a grand room, nice windows.
