Rising Sun

Rising Sun

The opening for food and water is visible here. This cell also has an intact sink.

The colors and contrast are fantastic.
This one has to be my favorites.
the bars look slimy
Are the cells locked?
That's a simply pathetic little CAGE. Seriously. *shudders*

I'm so glad I'm a good girl lol.
I totally had a dream last night about an old jail... Oddly enough, I was accompanying Motts on a photo shoot (I wish) and former prisoners started to burn the place down while we were still inside it... strange days indeed
The slot in the cell door is indeed for passing a food tray or other items, but also for the prisoner to put his hands through in order to be handcuffed before being removed from his cell (and uncuffed afterwards).
The rising sun looks like rust
"There is a house in new orleans
that they call the rising sun"
Could you imagine YOU being the one in that cell.
wow, just think they had to eat and sleep in that. eww I hope noone go's there its sad and depressing. and it will ruine your life
If you had to "go there", you're well on your way to having a ruined life. Hopefully a trip here could save it...
Did you notice the white ceramic "outhouse" type toilet beside the sink - basically a hole in a white ceramic base which the inmate had to sit on. I don't see any flusher knob or lever so I guess the waste just fell down the hole, like an outhouse. That's what it looks like to me anyway. All your photos are superb.
The sun and rust look like fire.
