In an odd way, this makes me think of "Otis" from the Andy Griffith show. Just as the town drunk found his way back to the jail, so do the hard core dangerous addicts find their way back to this place-which just happens to be a former jail. Andy and Barney would have been proud!
the keith richard party area sweet man
Some place to have a trip uh! But I guess if your a drug user anyplace is a place. Sad!
God help them.
ironically the reason most people go to jail today is in plain sight in an abandoned one makes you wonder how the minds of some people work .lol
Oh yuck! What a nightmare to get stabbed with a hypodermic needle...Just one thing that scares me about exploring.
at least they won't have to take them far when they get caught.
that's FUCKED UP.
Jailers go away but the inmates stay
Very symbolic: A prison that's nearly impossible to escape laying on the floor of a prison that was (I imagine) nearly impossible to escape.
This is pathetic.
Simply Pathetic.
god please help them
There's a sobering reality shot for ya.
Uh huh - and look what just happened to Keith Richards after falling out of a palm tree -- had a hole drilled in his head!
YAY!
i love that stuff!
the soda i mean...yeah...soda...lol
but it seriously is good soda, and so CHEAP too!
^_^
The thing that makes me sad about this shot actually is that our prisons are filling with non-violent drug offenders. What's wrong with tha, you ask? Well, for every kid who goes to prison just because he got caught with an ounce of marijuana, a rapist, murderer, robber, or some other sort of felon will be let out early on parole to clear up space. It seems so silly that we fight drugs harder than we fight violence. Oy, but that's your libertarian public service anouncement for today. :oS
No sniffing allowed
Motts and crew: I sincerely hope that you are armed for your own safety when you walk into these abandoned buildings. Your photography is simply phenomenal, but you have to be super careful due to drug attics who will do anything to get their hands on some $$$.
My Boy friend snorts coke, he says only once every 1 or 2 years, I thought it was addicting, how easy is it to become Addicted??
I wouldn't touch coke with a 100 foot bargepole, I don't care how addictive it is!

I hate cokeheads!

Personally I think 1 or 2 lines a year is bad enough but each to their own.
Dee, it's very addicting to about 99.9% of people. Very easy to get addicted to. Chances are your boyfriend is lying.
Coke is not that addicting its definiltly no a 99.9% chance its more like 30% chance i know lots of people who have tried it on more than one occasion and ALL of them have have yet to become addicted. And I personally have tried it ALOT but i am not addicted whatsoever! theres nothing wrong with doing it its safer than drinking and smoking pot!
Former Drug Addict, you say you cannot become addicted to coke and then in the next breath you say you have tried it alot and are not addicted! Thats a huge contradiction! If you are not in the slightest bit addicted, why keep "trying" it.

Also, to say there is nothing wrong with doing it: You should have been there to tell my fiance after he was nearly battered for no reason by wanker coke heads. They tried to rob his "gear"...even though he has never carried the stuff in his life. It makes people paranoid and deluded IMO.
just because you have tried it a lot doesn't mean your addicted. just like alcohol. just because you drink it, and over time it probably amounts to alot, doesn't mean your fucking addicted. just because someone eats chocolate a lot, doesn;t mean their addicted. dont be a dumb.
You can very well get addicted to chocolate-I'm hooked -LOL
Nah, coke isn't addictive ... I snorted, smoked, and injected it for 13 years and wasn't addicted at all! (The slow dripping sound you hear is my tongue bleeding sarcasm...) I'm lucky it didn't kill me, either directly or through the people I dealt with. Quit in 1990 when I finally realised that it was trying really hard to make me dead. Life is a lot better now, no drugs and oodles of pure love.
i really hope you guys wear thick clothes and gloves and masks in these places. And have weapons.
I for one have done coke. I have done it quite a few times, at parties and what not. Kinda like some people are social drinkers, I was a social coker. I never bought it, it was always supplied, and never did I ever feel that I NEEDED it to keep going. I have done it, walked away for a few days, months, years... and gone back and done it again. It is a fun drug, but you have to know your limit. If you dont know your limit, then that is when you become addicted...at least thats how I see it. But I guess it is different for many people.

But what I'm wondering is how the topic of discussion here is become addicted to drugs. Why not just recognize the irony of the drug photo and get back to seeing this place for the beauty within it?
who says they were doing coke/
Yeah, who says they were doing coke? Trash like this makes me think of a meth lab, but it's a mini bar rum bottle, and food dye tops if you look. I see teenagers doing dumb crap..... not drugs old or new. This site is my "official" favourite, but it does seem to make people's imaginations run wild. maybe that's part of the "fun" of looking?
you say homeless people live in there, self explanitory
those vials look very crack-ish
it's heroin god have any one guest that yet
Well my guess was playdough, but then I'm a no one, not an any one.
Motts, was this in a cell where there were squatters? The soda bottle looks fairly new, and there is a likely reason these people live in a jail cell. Too bad the state would throw them in an active prison instead of rehabilitating them and getting them back on their feet, or we could get them help.
As to the "mini bar rum bottle"- the rubber-covered top is evidence that it is indeed medication, not rum. It is in a FDA approved container for medications approved for injection. That would cost a pretty penny...

There is a bottle cap made of metal in the lower left corner of the shot, and it likely came from a regular sized alcoholic beverage.
look at all that crap
1. whoever said that coke is safer than alcohol or pot is retarted.
2. dont make fun of homeless people
3. terrible places make people do terrible things
THAT SHIT IS GANGSTA!!!!!...SAD THERES ACTUALLY STUFF LEFT IN THE NEEDLE....ROOKIES..LOL
^ _ ^ ^ ^
slash! guns and roses!
To Elephastacean,
I applaud.
very disturbing to see that shit very disturbing

getting better
drugs are bad mmkay
Prohibition is worse, because an addict will sacrifice everything to get their drugs, which will be available no matter how prohibited they are. All the laws do is jack up the price, giving addicts the choice between food and shelter or drugs. That isn't a choice for an addict.
I used to work in a place that manufactured those little glass clear and amber vials. They are for medicinal use and we shipped them to companies like eli lily and pfizer.
Ok, so I think I may have just had a dork moment, but I never see these vials anywhere else, lol
gross! why take a picture of that?
because we love you O O
. .0
thts kinda scary actually
Weeeeiiirrrdd... Makes me wonder if that's recent or from awhile ago! Gosh!
That's heroin stuff right there. Hardcore junkies.
This photo REALLY says a lot..........
It makes you wonder if some sick puppy had a taste of some of these, some people have a problem and can't help themselves,I used to know a girl who used to shoot up whiskey or basically anything she could get .I thought of her when i saw this shot. DG...
Ok. Now i know that coke is not the most dangerous drug out there but, to say it is safer than pot or alcohol is just plain retarded. Check the death rates. Almost NOBODY has died from pot use but thousands have lost their lives to alcohol and cocaine. People need to look up the facts before spewing crap out of their mouths.
someone was shootin up somethin. havent you guys ever done drugs?! geez...the reason all those caps are there are because thats what you mix the coke/dope in to put it in the syringe.
Oh no!! The ghost are taking drugs!
SUCH A SICK SHOT HERE!!!! I WILL BE GOING HERE SOON ENOUGH!!!!!
stop this madnass
My gess is that some one else got into the jail and did that.If you look to the rtop right,it looks like new bottles of water or pop(Soda for thouse in diffrent areas.)
unless there yours Motts.
This was the guard's break room.
these ppl need serious help i hope i don't end up like ppl lyk that i don't need that s**t in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
That right there's a heroin party.
this makes me sad.
man thats some bullshit] this is not pretty at all] eww dude how nasty
whats that white stuff? It looks like they left some of their heroin behind.
The glass stems with the blue tinge are crack pipes, the metal caps probably used as cookers to break down drugs for injection. Some of those clear container thing look like they could be ampules though, either way best to steer clear of a mess like that. "shooting galleries" are not uncommon among drug users and when you see stuff like that it usually means there is more than one user who has found this spot. best to steer clear as they may find your equipment pretty inviting.
