What a HELLAplace!
Brings back memories ,i worked there
twentyfive years.
what building is that in? i live up the road & i have no idea which building has what but i want to go look through them but i don't want to end up in the wrong place...
I don't want to end up any place really... creepy place... creepy place...
i currently work for one of these institutions run by NY state & although it may have been a horrid place up into th early 80's all of the ny state run institutions now put the clients before anyone or any thing which is good BUT the are dangerous jobs in alot of cases. this place was for developmentally challenged people whom if they went off only had the mental capacity of children so they did not understand that they could hurt or even kill someone. i know this because many of my family members worked at letchworth. the institution i work in is for metally ill & on a daily basis i deal with my clients with the up most respcet & always treat them as i would want to be treated BUT i never forget that they are ill & some have killed before so i am always watching over my shoulder.
OMG! This is my school! AHHH!
Its so freaky
yehh that furnace room is 10 times freakier in the dark.
some of the buildings in letchworth are now made into a school. we actualy go to this school now named fielstone secondary. all the the building are now abandand. inside u can still see things used while they were still in use. all of this just scares the shit out of me.
I just buried someone who lived here for many years. It is a sad story, but the lady was a great person and dearly loved by the staff she lived with in her final days. I wonder if there are any others that are still alive and well.
things obviously happened at this place that no one wants to talk about..and im very curious to know the truth..
Thanks for the great post Motts. I know this was posted years ago but many have yet to discover it.
Unfortunately Christine we may never know the truth as no one kept detailed journals back in the day nor any kind written record what so ever. All we have are suppositions and what we deduce ourselves.
