Another station in the darkness, it's motor sits on the tray... it looked like an air compressor.

"More soup mr. Jetson?" Says Rosie.
looks like something from dr.giggles
Rosie, will you sweep up in here?
Probably an air compressor. The drills and tools that move were run on pneumatic power.
it's (the unit) is call a cusipdor. Looks like a old "ritter" or maybe "A-DEC" unit. ran on 60psig med-air and 45psig water. ya see the lens in the light it should be sort-yellow/orange in color. some were blue in any case the coating is "rare earth" minerals and has a cash value. look for them on ebay.
WOW, when I first clicked on this one, I though...dang, a robot from some old sci-fi movie.

No wonder people are afraid of the dentist.
i have recently seen that and it doesnt look like that and i think it was knocked over, some kids go there to make destruction.
Danger, Will Robinson! Danger!
The "motor" on the tray is the rheostat--you push it to make the handpieces run. Definately Ritter equipment here! I can't believe that the cuspidor hasn't been smashed
Oh yeah, the rheostat belongs on the floor--you push the lever with your foot
Looks like Obama's promise of universal health care to me...
:(
Definately Jetsons..... or 50s science fiction.....
Impression trays? Echh, hate the taste of that crud...yeah, it sticks in the memory long after the braces & retainer. Especially cause impressions for my retainer needed at least one do-over. Ewww!
EXTERMINATE
I remember having to spit in one of those porcelain sinks at my dentists office when I was about 5 or 6. He was older than god and all his work was temporary. I was 35 when I had one of his temporary fillings replaced with a permanent one! And the smell of that room. Some things are just burned into memory!
