to think some one was shooting real guns a each other
It's quite common for these buildings to be used as training for Police who do a lot of warrants with barracaded and armed suspects. It's better to learn by getting hit with a simulated bullet than to make the same mistake and get hit with a real one.
Kinda reminds me of Resident Evil, lol
don't rubber bullets hurt?
i talked to a police officer when i was visiting..he said local cops train there. they do shooting excersizes with paintballs and real guns. he hinted at us to stay out of the buldings..
That and there are alot of homeless crazy people hear willing to cut you with glass if they think u brought money. Trust me bring a pellet gun or small knife or something. Your screwed if some bum pops out and slices you.
I've met a number of homeless inside abandonments in some very bad neighborhoods, they have all been relatively nice and even talkative. Spare a few bucks and be courteous in their home if you want to avoid problems.

Thiells isn't exactly an inner city, I've never seen or heard of homeless inside either...
Motts is right, being in the demolition field i meet plenty of homeless people and most of them are nice.
THATS where i left them!!
It's just that a lot of people (including myself at one point) come under the delusion that a bum occupying an abandoned asylum must be pretty mentally whacked and thus, homicidal. Obviously, I've come to my senses, but I still feel tense sometimes when urban exploring
Those Bullets arent police issue only army can get those grade paint bullets.
some one has a Glock lol jks but thats werid lol
i worked in Letchworth a few years ago, at the golf course, and ive seen SWAT train there. it was nuts, i was driving by on a golf cart and i saw this guy outside of the building i guess waiting. my boss came over and was like you guys gotta get outta here (to the SWAT guy) because we have golfers comin by - it was nuts.
That ammunition is called Simuntions FX marking cartidges, and they are available to police. They are used in real guns (with converted parts), for training purposes. These are so small you barely feel them. We shot these inside a Sheriff's conference room, at each other with only eye protection.
creepy shit
T smith, its depends on what cartridge you get hit with. Those are 9mm aren't that bad, but i have scars from the 5.56 simuntions
i would love to shoot some people!!! i will first want the candy bar or the walking stick and start there....some people just deserve it.
They did this at The Hudson River State Hospital as well. They destroyed many buildings that could have been used for the community. Like a building that housed a pool, bowling alley, and educational rooms. They used the same type of ammo as seen here.

Just Sad...
Haha! its simunition. it hurts like a real bullet but dosnt kill just leaves a colored mark.
Perhaps for movie making? Ah, the college kid movie makers return!
They did this at the Met State Hospital in Waltham, MA thats on this website. My grandparents live around the corner form there and they were woken up at 7am to the sound of gunfire and flashbangs going off. The Mass State Police were practicing breaching in the old buildings before they all got torn down
