Meet the Neighbors
Approaching this hospital, we were confronted with a woman hiking in the woods nearby. She seemed a little spacey, but very nice. The thought of anyone going inside the buildings seemed alien to her, much less photographing them, but she wished us luck and left.
Later on we met a whole group of teenage girls; it looked like they were all sharing a cigarette they stole from their parents. We probably scared the crap out of them (two creepy dudes lumbering down the hall). I'll try to recall the dialogue:
Us: You know you shouldn't be smoking.
Them: Yeah, sorry
(I try not to laugh)
Us: It's a joke, we really don't care.
Them: Oh, OK.
Them (looking at our giant tripods and cameras): So, are you guys like taking pictures or something?
Us (look at each other): No.
(I can't help but laugh; I think they finally realizes the stupidity of the question after a moment)
They warned us that there are scary things in the dark basements, ok thanks for the heads-up, and we went our separate ways. Messing with kids in these places is too much fun... we could have done some really scary ghost impressions but it wasn't worth the effort today.
