Group 2 and Some Building 93 Exteriors
Group 2 is a small cluster of buildings on the hill alongside St. Johnland Road. These buildings are mostly wood and brick, and date back to as early as 1912, and are also in the worst condition (the exception being the day care building 40). The only stable areas are the stairwells, so there isn't too much to see without walking on the badly decaying floors.
Day care turned out to be less exciting than I had hoped, but I did meet two fellow explorers trying to creep around and scare me. I was setting up my tripod in infant 1 when I heard noises that definitely weren't the wind... so I walked over to the carpet as quietly as I could and waited for whomever it was to come by. As soon as I heard a whisper I knew it wasn't any type of security, so I rounded the corner and ended up face to face with a guy shaking his flashlight at my face... I'm glad niether of us had a heart attack! We introduced ourselves, and they were really nice people... we ended up talking about the places we've been to more than actually exploring; which was great because we all thought these buildings were pretty boring.
I threw in some photos of building 93 and others for fun... I realized I don't have many exterior shots of 93, which is a shame. This place is getting more and more locked down, especially when assholes start trying to burn the Quad down. Personally, I think it's a good thing... more security keeps these kids off the property, preventing another Byberry situation. meh.
