The place seemed to be pretty quiet today, so I had a relaxed outing for a few hours, poking in and out of the buildings carelessly left open to visitors such as myself.
While wandering through the halls of the newer medical building, I almost got decked in the head by a girl wielding a log as protection. She noticed my camera and realized I wasn't about to hurt anyone, and soon enough a couple emerged from the darkness with a small child, no more than nine years old. The other girl had a can of Prestone De-Icer, for a mace-like application I presume.
They turned out to be very nice people, and offered to show me the morgue in the basement after warning me of it's dangers; the entire lower level was filled with about an inch of foul slimy brown mud; a result of ceiling tiles and paper becoming wet and and rotting into a soupy consistency. We traversed down in the muck and after about a minute or two of searching they had enough of the smell and parted... I finally found the morgue at the end of a long hallway, which was not the one I was originally searching for, but still exciting to see.
