Live Wires and Dead Places
We started off in the power plant, exploring the old coal burners and turbines, from high catwalks to the flooded basements. We made our way through a few tunnels after that, including a 4 foot high "backbreaker" which turned out to be sealed at the far end. We tried all possibilities to get into a children's ward, but it was sealed quite well.
Medical-surgical was next, checked out a few floors which contained the monkey cage and the morgue. We took a break on the roof, enjoying the view, when two people drove up to the building in a ATV stacked high with 'no trespassing' signs. We listened as they began to seal our entrances, and waited for what must of been an hour until they finally drove up the back of the property and into a forested area. It was then a quick run downstairs to see if we were trapped inside, and luckily they only placed a plastic tie around our door. After a quick snip we bolted into the older building to see the second morgue on the campus, with a wooden cooler, then half-slid down a long tunnel that was at a ridiculous angle back down the hill.
I came back with bloody arms and aching legs... and all I got were these lousy pictures! Enjoy.
