After packing up our camping gear off the beach of
Prora, we made the journey southward to Peenemünde, like so many construction workers at the massive resort did in 1938. There were a number of tourists visiting the museum at the site, as well as a docked Russian submarine, and the buildings that were empty were small and sealed rather well. The only sizable abandonment was the blown out shell of the liquid oxygen plant, so after spending half an hour in there we took off, searching for more decay.
