Picking at the Bones
We arrived at the Senelle works just as the sun was setting behind the now-empty valley. Sounds of music intermittently wafted over from a nearby gypsy camp; it looked like they had decorated the machinery with effigies and other strange forms, creating a surreal landscape around us.
The administrative office tower stood in the distance - although only a shell of a building, I would have liked to explore it; but we had already been to five sites in three countries this day... it was time to head back!
