Building 29 was the fourth and final plant the hospital built over the years. The plant originally burned coal, but was later modified to use oil and/or natural gas. The plant was capable of producing 3 to 7 megawatts of power for the institution. Power still hums through large transformers, and computer lights and other instrumentation still blink inside this building.
