Waking up was difficult after the
Urbexation event the night before, but we needed to see one more place before leaving Belgium - the Castle of Mesen. A large park rather unexpectedly sat in the center of Lede, and the tranquil trails led into a tall forest with a fence; behind it I could see the massive castle just waiting for me. The air was thick with the sweet aroma of dank, rotting wood; blood rushed back into my veins and I suddenly felt energized from the adrenaline. A very nice grounds keeper told me not to go in, but there was no way I was about to heed that warning!
