Sporadic Storms
We were greeted in England by some interesting weather; the sky boiled and brooded while maintaining large gaps of blue sky. We donned out raincoats and began hiking through the property. Open fields gave way to dense woods, where hundreds of trees were perfectly lined up along a forgotten passage towards the hospital, it was quite surreal.
The asylum was vast and winding; it took some time to get used to the layout of the wards and many connecting hallways. The spread out design allowed a lot of light into the wards, although many were highly renovated and not very photogenic. The theater and seclusion rooms were of exceptional beauty though, and overall it was a nice and relaxing trip through our first English abandonment.
