Corrosive Industry
I've been to a few abandoned power plants, both public utility stations and those that served state hospitals, and I've never seen one quite as large and intact as this one. So much of the massive machinery has been left untouched, it seemed as if the place could be back online in just a short period of time if it weren't for the corrosion and decay that have settled in over the years.
Some areas in the back were so laden with chemicals, I became dizzy from inhaling the fumes, and tried to stay away from those sections. Other than that it was a great experience, I didn't mind the mid-summer heat at all because I was focusing so much on capturing the place. Some activity outside forced a hasty retreat, but I think I managed to see most of the place. Enjoy the photos!
