This was the first site about Urban exploration I ever saw....
It has great Pix and I thought you all might like to see Hartwood where I trained...

http://www.turbozutek.f2s.com/

Look for Lanarkshire and Hartwood from there and there are mibee 8 trips into the place I trained in..
It was this site that led me here too...
I think the differences between US State Hospitals and the NHS is Scotland is also interesting

Agreed...
and I hope to meet up wi him for a wee wander around Hartwood before its all gone next time in Scotland....
I must admit that i almost cried when I looked at the damage done by vandals and by the neglect of authorities and poor security...
Well worth a look that site and its really made me want to go exploring

When I was on a train journey from Fort William to Malaig I spotting a church which was miles from the nearest settlement.

It would have been interesting to visit it, but as I was on a coach tour there was no chance.

Lanarkshire is dear to me because I'm currently reading through Alisdair Gray's "Lanark: a Life in Four Books" again. Freaking most awesome text of the last 60 years probably. If you are Scottish and haven't read it, please do.

But here in this graveyard it is still no man's land. Countless white crosses in mute witness stand To man's blind indifference to his fellow man To a whole generation who were butchered and damned.
