Just out of curiousity Motts, how do you make up the names of some locations on this site, places like Riverside are fairly obvious as are Linton & Dayton (same letters as actual names) but Verden Psych. for example is nothing like the actual name (which I will not post). Do you just randomly make them up or do they have something to do with the location (a nearby geological feature, the last name of an employee, or perhaps a street you traveled to get there?). I'm not trying to figure out where these places are as first of all they're (mostly) in New England and I'm in Texas and secondly I'm too busy to do heavy exploring at the moment anyway. Just curious

I like to throw curve balls, then I'll curve it the other way to throw off the real sleuths! Wink

The more obscure locations get a name that is very far off, if not unrelated to the place. But they usually have clues so others in the urbex community can figure them out, or perhaps we are able to use a common name when posting on public forums, and we can also post photos on our different websites that are obviously the same place but without confusing people too much

Sometimes the more lesser known locations blow up and I have not changed the name on the website over the course of this time, which baffles some people... it's just a real pain in the ass to change it!

Mott's,
You are doing the right thing to protect sites. Too many good places have been desecrated. If somebody needs their hand held to find a place they are not true UE.

I thought it was something like that and I've been able to get most of them, yet High Hills is still stumping me.
