Thanks. It is one of my favorites. They didn't realize they were being photographed.

Although I installed Photobucket the same night Karen did, I didn't get around to experimenting with it until this morning.
So here I am digging for buried treasure in the woods...

PB, you have been inspiring me. I haven't gone digging since I was a little girl. Lately, I have noticed myself thinking about places I could go dig up. At the moment our outhouse is being rebuilt. It is not sitting on the spot where it stood for about the last hundred years. It probably won't be put back in until late in the summer. I think I will have a look up there before they put it back. (We don't actually use it, but we want to preserve it.) It is always interesting no matter what you find. Uncovering things left behind from the past are like discovering a story has come to life.

I've often wondered if anybody took the time to restore and preserve an original outhouse. I used to know of several that were still standing, but they weren't in use, and just rotted away.
As for the area in which I dig, I did do some digging back there in the mid 70's and again in the early 80's, but lost interest as I had no use for most of the bottles.
Now, through the magic of the internet and digital cameras, I can capture everything I do back there and share it with the world. I also feel I'm preserving history as well, as this area is standing in the way of 'progress' and may not be there much longer.
I'm on my way out to the woods now.

Mom went to Monterey Pops. Step-dad was at Altamont. Ex Step-father-in-law had the audacity to think I didn't know what Woodstock was.

I was 16 at the time. I knew a few people that were going and was invited.
I passed.
