I've brought in some more of my lilacs to enjoy the scent in the house,    2 vasefuls last night.    My kitchen smells soooooo good!   Grin

A bunch I brought in several days ago,  now gone...

While my lilac bush is still young and fairly small,    the backyards around my home have many lilacs all in full bloom so it's not only beautiful to walk down my alley right now,     it also smells divine.   Smiley

LL thanks lol yeah I can get the perspective now!  Makes a lot more sense Smiley

Jude - GORGEOUS!!  I love the lilac fragrance...absolutely beautiful.   The ones we had always had ants on them...do you have problems with that?

No problem with ants on ours,   but years ago we had peonies in the front that we got rid of because of a HUGE ant problem.    Ants love them.

Had a great weekend with my son. We hit up an ancient cemetery near us, an old railroad, a LONNNNG trail, (NOT the beer, sorry) and an abandoned Foundry.
It is blocked off, so we didn't go in. They are tearing this down to start building a Riverfront Project.
The Foundry-

Ancient cemetery-
This is something I have NEVER, EVER seen in a cemetery. We learned that in the early 1800's, the rich had these made. Later on, they started using the tall ornate headstones-

I took way too many pics. Will try to post some a bit later.

Nooooooooooooo!!! I've been slacking on going to see that for years, and I was hoping to slack on it for years to come.  Angry

It was the time of year, the time of day, for a small insistent sadness to pass into the texture of things. Dusk, silence, iron chill.

I LOVE this pic!!! Did you go "inside"? Sorry about the Foundry, Arntz. They have been planning tearing it down for a while. I guess they finally got funding for the project. It looks like they want to compete with Haartfords RiverFront thing.....

Here's a little something I found on a trail-
