Are you ok?  Is this something you're struggling with, or a loved one?  Huh

Yeah diabetes sucks bad. Good luck with it man. I thought for a long while that i had it, but i guess i don't. It runs on my mom's side of the family, and her aunt had it, and it led to my grandfathers slow death. Fuck Diabetes.

I have had type 1 diabetes for the past 28 years.  I can't say it has been a lot of fun, but I've managed.  If you don't know, people with type 1 diabetes make little to no insulin and always require insulin in either injection or infusion.  I took several shots daily for 27 years.  I am now on an insulin pump, which has been the most wonderful piece of technology ever created.  My blood sugars are almost always perfectly normal now and I feel better than I have in many years.  I have only a few very minor complications.  Keep your blood sugars under control and you can have a long, healthy life, even with diabetes.  Keep that a1c under 7, even better if you can get it at 6.  If you don't control it, it will control you.  It doesn't go away, and it often can be unpredictable, but working hard at controlling it really does pay off.
