Be good Ma's here with her paddle

Mr.Ma and I went for a leisurely stroll around the maze of back alleys in our neighbourhood.    Married couples do that now and then,  you set out by  instinctively reaching for each other's hand and go where your feet take you.

The thing about our alleys is that just like the front streets in the neighbourhood,   the trees are older and full so they make a right pretty picture when you're out enjoying nature.    It doesn't  matter that everyone's trash is out back on the day before garbage pickup,  our alley ways are still pretty.    As we walked,  every now and then he'd let go of my hand as I stopped to capture something with my camera.

Like,  his cute butt.

......or some pretty flora up against a quaint fence.

This time of year,  the berries on the Mountain Ash trees are bright orange.

6.

Here at the end of one alley,  we hit a little park which we walk through to get to another alley.

7.

8.

9.  BLUE SPRUCE

10. PINE

As we leave the park and cross the street toward the next alley,  there is a little "dead end" that has always puzzled me.    Had they intended to carry on another street here when they built the houses here 40 years ago and then decided to build a park instead?    Ah well the mystery shall remain.

13.  My favourite restaurant

14.

And now we turn left and head down a rather long alley.   To the right on the other side of that wall is a major thorougfare.    It's the one I cross walking to work.

15.   There's that butt again

16.  Someone had fun stencilling the cable boxes,  and I liked this one.

17.

By now,  Mr.Ma is asking me,  "How many times are you going to stop?   Just how many pictures can you take with that card?"     I think he just misses my hand when he's not holding it.

18.

19.

20.  Here we cross another street toward another alley.

21.

Down there you can get an idea just how absolutely loaded with trees one person's back yard is.

22.

23.  I shot this over his fence,  what a great back yard.

24.

25.  Colourful crab apple

27.

Now we're almost at the end of the alley that is right across the street from the front of our house.

30.

31.  And there's our house across the street,  we're home!

I hope you enjoyed coming along on our stroll.   Mr.Ma and myself are tickled pink to have had you along with us.

Until next time,
Ma

Wow! Your neighborhood looks lovely. You have inspired me to do one of my neighborhood now. Muskegon is full of Victorian houses and a lot of them are run down.  Embarrassed There are small nice areas and some real shady areas. I think that is anywhere you go. Undecided It's a real nice set!  Cheesy

I think in order to be an alley houses need to be closer tha 8 mile apart.  That might qualify as an alley in Canada eh.  Here we call them acsess roads.

Thanks everyone.    Gord,  the lanes at the back of houses here are alleys,  and on some busier thoroufares they have access roads out front for people to park on away from (or off) the busy street.    And believe me,  the houses are only feet apart.  Cheesy
