Having a Mansion Built Based on a Kirkbride.

If you had the means, would you want a mansion built based on the exterior look of your favorite Kirkbride, like Danvers, "River side", Worcester, Buffalo or any other beloved abandonment? If so Which one and why?
Just curious. I'm pretty sure I would, but it would be a
damn
tough choice as to which.

I'm not sure that I would want to. It sounds very glamourous but I dislike wasted space so to me, a mansion would drive me insane.
Though I do like having tunnels to wander in from time to time. So if I were going to choose one, I'd probably choose "Riverside" (since that's the only one whose tunnels I've been in, and they were nice enough).

Thats a great answer Navi, and thanks for it.
Of course if I
really
had the money, I would probably want to buy and restore an existing one.

I'd have to go with Danvers, it was such an ominous structure perched high on that hill. You wouldn't have to worry about unwanted company, nobody would dare drive up to a place like that. It could make millions on Halloween and you could live on the profits.

I think that is one of the many benefits of photography: as you search for subjects you begin to realize that objects of beauty were around you all along and you never took the time to really notice.

And thats another good answer Peat Moss!
Yeah I got to say, Danvers is definitely one that I've always thought would make a killer mansion.

A krikbride mansion would be great...every room with a good exterior view!
Worcester would be the one to have. Danvers was amazing but...I dunno...if you've seen worcester in person its just so....something.
I'd probably do noho though. Because I love noho.

I know of an abandoned County Poor House, built in 1872, that's for sale - resident ghost(s) and all. A fun project for the DIY, but a shocking money pit.

I'd go with NoHo. I love how it was so massive, and just had this big, scary look to it, as it sat on the hillside. I'd want that.

Well, if I had that kinda money, I'd just buy Weston when it goes up for sale on August 29!

Wow! 1.4 mill actually seems kinda low for a place like that. It may have some serious problems.

I dunno a mansion based on a Kirkbride model. Better have your walkin' shoes on Those wings stretch out a mite. That could work on those nights when your significant other is "upset", "hormonal" You know guys PMesssin She gets the west wing you get the east.
