Game: Half Life 2....it's like UE with guns and zombies.

Movies: R Point, Session 9, Freedomland.

TV:  Supernatural (Season 1), Ghosthunters (SciFi, can always count  on them to investigate and abandoned something or other)

Books/Fiction: Since most of you guys live in the North East and New England, I have to recommend H.P. Lovecraft to the three members who aren't already reading him. His stories all take place in New England durring the 1930s (picture Indiana Jones) and his characters are always stumbling upon an abaondoned house/estate in the woods where evil lurks.

...or in the North End of Boston.

I recently watched a movie called "Dagon" which is an adaptation of two Lovecraft stories, "Dagon" and "The Shadow Over Innsmouth." The bulk of the action takes place in an awesomely creepy island village, with many fascinating buildings in various states of neglect. At times the movie was tedious, and establishes itself as a definite "B" movie with the dialogue in the very first scene, but still worth seeing for Lovecraft fans.

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre has a decent abandoned house, and Leatherface's house is cool, too.

And then there's Dracula's castle in the original Bela Lugosi version.

Poe's "Fall of the House of Usher" triggered my whole interest in abandoned buildings, even though it doesn't feature one.

I saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers video for the song "Fortune Faded". It appears to take place in an abandoned building. Not sure if it's real or staged, though. Does anyone recognize it?

This reminds me, the Dead Milkmen filmed the video for "Punk Rock Girl" in Eastern State Penitentiary in Philly.

For Movies, how about
Trespass: big abandoned factory in St. Louis I think...
The Departed: Quincy Shipyard...gone now
In Dreams: NoHo aaaaand the old Wentworth By the Sea in NH before they restored it
12 Monkeys: Power plants in Baltimore and Philly, as well as lots of other things
Session 9 of course
The Warriors
Sleepers: features a certain well known state hospital as a reform school, shows the tunnels and everything
Easy Rider

Can't remember the rest of the ones I had in mind...haha
