...I just tried to post a comment with one and 23 clicks later, I removed the emoticon and it posted the reply just fine.

I was having problems on and off all day Friday; at one point, it said that there were no forums in existence!  Scared the poo outta me...  phpBB is a very, very complicated system, and it doesn't take much to cause a kernel panic...  Mottsie, I'll be saying a prayer to Tux, patron saint of Linux, if you decide to recompile. :lol:
