The Lambertville High School is probably one of the best examples of urban ruins.

Information I found on it (That was already kinda said this is just a little more expansive):

And our reader Kyle wrote, "I have been to lambertville high school numerous times. I know the story behind the high school and all. In fact one of my ex friends has a relative who went there at some point in her life. Anyway, my friends and i make a regular treck to labertville high. We have been inside and out, and in fact have some memorabilia from the old spook house. the story behind the school is it was built in the late 1800's to early 1900's. around the year 1931 the place burned down due to an accident in the science lab. many lives were lost. the school was rebuilt around 1941 to 1942 im not sure exactly. it was fully functional for a few more years when the same incident happened, except the difference is that this time most of the people inside the building perished except for a couple teachers, the principal and maybe a handful of students. the school was never rebuilt because the money invested in it last time went down the drain. I have seen all of the things inside. the pictures on the chalkboards, the cold science room, etc. it is quite a fascinating place. i will be mad if they tear it down. i know its still there as of this date, but i was not aware they were going to demolish it."

obviously this is wrong.

the school burnt down in 1926, and the class of 1927 made a plaque because of it entitled CLASS OF 1927, it looks like a tombstone.

and it burnt down again in 1992.

but it did burn down because of a lab incident.

ok. i went in 2002 when it wasnt so popular and the cops wernt such dicks. i was in there with 4 of my friends and we were making our way out down the steps and 3 or 4 dudes threw bricks at us and nailed the door shut and tried climbing in through the "basement" windows threatening to beat us to death. my one friend was hit with a baseball bat in the shoulder and i almost got a bat to my head when i stuck it out the window next to the front entrance door to talk to the 2 guys standing there. we hid in a closet and called the cops, got arrested for tresspassing and made it an early night.

not the best experience. you wouldnt expect something like that to happen in such a tiny town in jersey. people are just nuts, be careful.

it's no photoshop trick, if that's what you mean.
i mean, c'mon, the place is haunted by some dead football kid.
it's a 15 second exposure at twilight, something weird
was bound to happen.

I love it!    There are a gazillion haunted places out there but not everyone gets a shot with something in it.      Very cool Yaggy.
