Since this thread seems to have some new life, I'll add a few more, all of these were taken within the last month or so. And to desmet, you've got some really amazing pictures, very nice work!

Nice shots, Greg!
Like the almost sickly colour in the first and the near circular hole in the last!

These pictures are great!!! I like the way the EXIT sign looks. Like it's only being held on by a thread.

I wonder why there's a hole in the door? Is this some kind of entrance for animals?

Jude - Thanks again!

PB,

Yes that hole immediately caught my eye when I entered the room. Strangely enough, I think there were 2 or 3 more doors close by that had the exact same hole punched through it.

This is the room. (The door from the above picture would be off to the left in this picture, you can see the white wall.)

Sorry for the out of focus pic, this room was completely dark, and lit with one maglite. My friend and I actually killed our flashlights to see how dark it was, and it was probably the darkest dark I had ever seen. Sent chills down your spine immediately.

greg,
these are great photos! thanx! i would wonder about the one building you were in that did not have the windows covered, could you tell us which one it is? i have a special interest in the place as the wife worked there just before they closed it for good.

I think that is one of the many benefits of photography: as you search for subjects you begin to realize that objects of beauty were around you all along and you never took the time to really notice.

Peat,

The first picture that is dark except for the sunlight coming through the windows is in the basement of the CTG building. The other picture with light coming through is the 1st floor of the CTG, the left side is facing the courtyard, and the right side is facing out. I'm assuming they didn't want to waste their money boarding up windows that weren't facing the general public, so the windows on the left were left as is.
