Here's what my woods looks like in the summer. Nothing but a wysteria infested jungle. There's whole sections that I cannot get into until late autumn.

These buildings are not abandoned. It just looks that way...

And finally, these wooden crates have been here for over twenty years. I've often wondered if there's anything in them...

If you like these, I'll dig up some more.

Where I rarely see any activity there, there's just enough to qualify the building as ocupied. I believe they were a warehouse for Hoosier racing tires for awhile.

That was one reason why I dug them up. Without snow, winter is so bland looking. I'm starting to think Spring.

Secondly, I wanted to get some pictures of Goldie and print them out for my mother.

And finally, I was looking for a certain picture, that I couldn't find. (It'll show up someday when I'm looking for something else)

Unlike the last two, these buildings ~are~ abandoned. I have not been inside them.

They are on major highways and/or in highly crowded neighborhoods. The only one that is a bit off the beaten path is (you guessed it) the one with the barbed wire fence around it.

Ever try jumping one of them without ripping your pants?

Still a bit of a jump involved ( ) Hard to believe that 30 years ago, I used to climb inside dumpsters. One of the best belonged to a radio station. I ~still~ have boxes of unsearched promos.

Here's the back of one of the buildings I posted yesterday...

Most of the old Reading Railroad has been ripped out, but if you look hard enough, you'll still find some remnants...

What happened to the trees? Beyound the green grass lies water. Seems a stream changed course and drowned the life out of these trees.

I remember this truck sitting in there when I was little. I got my camera last year and set out to look for things that I remembered from years past. Most of them were gone, but this truck was still there. I believe it to be an early 40's Chevy or GMC.

More to come!!!

Wow these are great Pa!   I can't believe the greenery and how Ma Nature just takes over.    And the railroad tracks.....you can tell it was a very long time ago since that was used huh?

I have always been fascinated with the outdoors, and especially wooded areas and/or various forms of plantlife.

A picture is a moment frozen in time. Just the change in seasons produces a different picture.

The Reading Railroad shut down in the early 50's.
