Actually i dont think its any bleaker than part.1 But, interesting, just the same. All i could find online about this place, is that it was first a old country hospital and then it turned into a nursing facility, and the Health Dept. must of shut it down in 07. but, its actual closing day was in 2010. What? Shocked  Surely, that was just office staff!?  I cant imagine anyone having their family in there in the state it was. Really very sad.

They sure left a lot of stuff in there!  That old blood-draw tray - the hospital where I work still uses some very similar to that.  And the kitchen equipment.   It does look bleak with all the dark paneling.  Makes it look depressing almost.  Wow.   The phone booth is awesome!  The skull is a nice touch for a nursing home - every home should have at least one!  Kind of surprised the microscope is still there...they left so much!  Excellent set LL!

Don't judge me unless you have looked through my eyes, experienced what I have and cried as many tears as me.  Until then back off, cause you have no idea.

Awesome photos!! I really enjoy the kitchen shots. So outdated and freaky looking with the stained yellow light fixtures. I love how everything is just untouched. Is this place owned by someone that you know? I would really like to know how you found a place like this and how it is merely untouched since it closed.

There is/was a phone booth just like that in our local hospital that was just closed.  I took some pics after we closed, technically not abandoned, but stripped of everything.  No plans to sell the building, so it just sits, gates over the doors.  Very sad.

13 - I find it fascinating that it really looks like someone just drew blood from a patient and left their tray.  Just *poof*

Great sets - thanks for sharing both :]

At least they did the dishes before they left, and the old telephone booth... I have not seen one of those.  Smiley  Great work Lou.

Oh man great shots!  Makes me feel dirty after seeing all the grime, but dirty in an oh so interesting and fascinating way hahah!  Still baffles me how these sorts of places leave almost everything behind. Surely some of the furniture, dishes, SOMETHING could be put to use again, right??  Why are all these places the same; as if everyone just evaporated..

Last time I was at the New York State Museum in Albany, a few years ago, they had a bank of phone booths just like that. Though in better condition and working order.

I like the lights in #6, even though dated, they still look neat to me. The name "BleakWood" really does suit this place. Nice set of pictures you have here.

That phone booth brought back memories.  It is just like the one in the dorm my freshman year of college.  We even had call boxes in our rooms that looked alot like the ones in #4 that the operator would use to call us if we got a phone call on the dorm switchboard.   Which was the old switchboard type with the plugs on the wires.   You had to move the plugs to connect the call.  Really outdated.  FYI this was 1967.

Great sets.   Loved them both.   In the first set I would have loved to have the 4 shelf metal cart in the picture of the old wooden wheel chair.  Thanks for posting.

This is such an incredible set LL. A lot of these photos reminds me of the old (and long abandoned) Astronaut's Hospital/Base Operations Surgical Unit on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station/Kennedy Space Center.
