I have really been into finding new locations to explore, photograph, grasp, ect. On my way home from work I kept my eye out and found these groups of houses on the side of the highway. The view from the highway shows that these houses are in pretty bad shape. The roofs are caved in from the looks of it, but I had to get a look up in person. I stopped on the way home and just looked around the area and snapped some photos with my iphone. From doing a little bit of research, these three houses were all built between 1887 and 1890. The 1410 house is a 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 3,000 square foot house that was last sold in 1991 for only 400 bucks! I plan to go back and actually get a look inside. Enjoy!  Smiley

WOW   Love the brick and ivy.   I'll bet there is a large amount of ivy growing inside the house also.   LOL

Can't wait to see more.   Thanks for posting

Was this in a largely abandoned neighborhood in an industrial area?  Looks like many other places have been torn down.  Too bad.  Great architectural details on these old beauties.

These are beautiful pictures, and #9 is the very best. If only those walls could talk!

I bet it was beautiful once upon a time. Even in this advance state of decay you can see the grandeur that once was. Great set.

Just don't get yourself shot trying to get into them. Be careful.

Nice set by the way.

If it's decaying, I'll probably eat lunch there

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I just don't know about how to enter these abandonments. Yeah, I could just break in and enter, but I honestly don't want to pay the fines involved with being caught. When looking up these buildings in the public records, I found who the owner of these houses are. Would it be wise to call and ask willingly to maybe take a tour through the home to snap pictures for a school project? I just can't see breaking in, taking a few photos and later being fined for it.

@Liza- Yes, these are in an industrial area right on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. This part of town has seen better days...
