Took a trip with a friend today to the local asylum. We took in the scenes and admired the equipment for a while and managed to get some pretty cool shots. Just as we went to leave we were walking around a corner and my friend pulled me back, all I saw was the front grill of the car and the word 'sheriff'. We booked it like hell and decided to call it a day despite only visiting two buildings. I did not have my tripod with me, so I couldn't quite get the exposure I wanted without flash but I tried my best to make it look natural. Some of you may recognize this place as I'm sure its quite famous after Ghost Hunters filmed here.
Enjoy, I might post more later.

Outstanding set. I was impressed there was still toilet paper on the holder in #10.  Cheesy

That's amazing, I didn't even notice that. It's funny because nearly 95% of everything else, beds, wheelchairs, examination tables were no longer in the building, yet toilet paper remains. Thanks for the compliment, I still have some more photos I would like to upload. I'll add them later today

Excellent work.  What is that in #14?  Looks like a giant industrial Kitchenaide mixer.

Ah I see you were in my playground haha. Hate how thrashed it is now, but you managed to get a killer set out of here. Nice job.

Thanks, it's crazy how much worse it has gotten since I last went three years ago. My mom who is a director of child psychiatry  used to attend meetings in the administrative building and she can hardly recognize it with how trashed it's gotten.

Thank you, that's essentially what it is haha.

Here are some more photos that I wasn't as happy with. I'll add the better of the throwaways to cut it down a little bit.

Well your throw aways are great.   I really like #3.  The lighting in 8 is so good.  The sad ceiling fan in 9.  And 10 gives such a good idea of the decay in the place.  Glad you didn't throw them away.
