Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and figured I would upload some photos of abandoned trucks, objects, and buildings throughout the northeastern US. Most are HDR/highly edited and a lot are from when I first started. Any tips on editing would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Opacity!
My favs are the old cement mixer (I think that's what it is) and the lone hydrant in the middle of nowhere.  Good set!  Will enjoying seeing more of your work.

Don't judge me unless you have looked through my eyes, experienced what I have and cried as many tears as me.  Until then back off, cause you have no idea.

Nice set. #3 is cool as hell inside, lots of surprises lying about.

Welcome!  Any tips you receive on editing will be based on the person's preference.  I say just edit them how you'd like them to look, don't care what people think.

I would personally cut back on the vignettes and HDR a bit, so they don't look too contrasty, but I have a different style than you.

Thanks, by any chance would you happen to know what kind of factory/building it was?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

Thanks for the welcome and input! its definitely about preference and I kind of like that edgy HDR look and crushed blacks on B + W, kind of like Brandt-ish I guess. It's probably because I mostly shoot wild-life so whenever I get the chance to edit a photo I go overboard haha  Grin Now that I look at it I think I'm going to try and set mood more kind of like #1 and a more relaxed editing style.

It was something that had to do with curtis Wright, it was occupied by the vibra screw company. It was then a water works building, and its currently just a warehouse.

I like that lone fire hydrant as well.  Nice plants growing around it.
