I have had my eye on this one for a while. It's in plain view surrounded by occupied houses, so we finally just walked right up the driveway and went in. I love Mansard colonials, but this one had been murdered pretty badly inside sometime in the 80s and then left to rot. It was divided into three apartments, with three kitchens, each tackier than the last.

1 - welcoming visage


2 - there were a LOT of rocks in this house. a LOT. coincidentally there were a lot of broken windows.


3 - I put this photo through some stupid "artistic" filter in Photoshop. It was a reprehensible thing to do, and I feel terrible about it. I am posting this primarily as a means of self-flagellation.

9 - I just HAD to take this stupid shot of this stupid plastic figure, so I unscrewed the center bar of my tripod and put it aside so I could splay out the tripod legs, took this shot, and didn't realize I left the tripod part behind until we were already in another building.


10 - here is the ridiculously small window that I therefore get to climb in and out of again, to retrieve my shit, tonight I guess

The windows in 4 and 5 are cool lighting. Smiley  Sorry to hear about the return trip to get the tripod part. Just eat a light meal... or you want fit in that small window. Wink

This place is big!  I love the big windows.  And the light fixture in 7.  I think the top floor with the roof windows is really neat.

They really did butcher the poor old place.  It must be a lot bigger than the exterior picture makes it look.  I like the old crumbly yard area too.

Nice set Arntz! I like that light fixture too. Cool And, what was that on the kitchen table in #5? I LOVE old houses! And, as long as this place has been abandoned, I see no grafitti and little broken inside! I especially love that! These apartments may look tacky now, but that 70's look may come back! Shocked

Thanks Tony! Yes, liza, the house goes way back, it's at least three times as deep as it is wide. Still haven't gone back for my tripod part, I'm waiting for a dark rainy night...

Really like the view in # 4. Its like im a bug on a beam looking for my next meal hahaha! I think the Keg-like thing on the table is a container for drinks like a mini-bar. Is that right Arntz!?
