Wow!  That's impressive!  Thnx for posting!  A convent you say?  Then, with "mercy" in the name?  Anyone familiar with Catholic nuns?  Is the word "mercy" even in their vocabulary?  Grin  What are the Latin writings on the wall?  A list of ways to beat and torture small children?  Shocked  Cheesy

What an incredible place. I wonder why the walls were stripped to the studs? Loved the exterior stone work. True craftsmanship everywhere you look. I hope the stripped walls indicate they are restoring this beauty and not demolishing it.

It looks like the place wouldn't need more than some cleaning up to be as good as new.
Do you know why and when it was abandoned? Would be interesting to know a little bit of this place's history. Smiley
