Storm damage, and beauty from storm Alfred.

1-This tree was here for almost the whole week. They just took it down Thursday afternoon, but only because channel 3 news did a story on how it was there so long.

2-Our house, the day after

3-Saggy leaf-filled tree limbs. The cause of our problems...

4-Trees down everywhere...

5-Decorated for Christmas!

6-Our closer exit road, blocked...

7-Luckily, these didn't fall...

8-Taken from inside...

9-Now you see it...that flattened bush, and the fence behind it...

10-Now you don't...

Oh Wow Tony! Looks soooo cold! 4 and 6 look awful, but 8 looks really pretty with all the colors of homes sitting in the snow. Hope you guys were not without heat for very long.

We lost power Saturday afternoon and got it back Friday around 5-530. All the snow is gone now, except for some larger piles. The cleanup will last through spring I bet... Roll Eyes

I've always said that snow photos can be so beautiful!   Having said that,  it was WAY too early for this and it sucks you guys got hit so hard out there.

Tony, I'm beginning to think you live around the corner from me.   Wink

Great pics, happy we both have our power back!  It's funny, CBS news finally came to my town to talk about the trees being ignored, thank God the news went to your town as well.  That tree on the wires is SCARY!   Shocked

Your pictures are all so beautiful, it's weird to think that there was so much destruction from that snow!  At least you got some nice pictures out of it.    Smiley

Glad your home was not hurt.  Wow- and to think it is just November. Have to say the only thing missing on your Christmas photo is a string of light..that you did not have the electric to run. Wink

Wow!  Heavy, wet snow + leaves still on trees makes for a crazy mess.  We have that issue here in the NC mountains with all the evergreens we have.
