Wow Kitten.  I don't have trouble with running up on vehicles but like you I can't always tell what lane they are in coming up behind me!  Now this will make you feel great - I worked EMS for 9 years and drove an ambulance.  I could back that rig up better than I can back my beetle up.  Never figured that one out.   Never had an accident.  Never had a near miss.  I am good at compensating.

Don't judge me unless you have looked through my eyes, experienced what I have and cried as many tears as me.  Until then back off, cause you have no idea.

I'm the same way with buses.  Much better at backing them than my car.  Of course, I have more and much larger mirrors on the bus.

Yeah heh good point.  Had bigger mirrors on the rigs too.  But I still could get that box into patient loading areas that had maybe three inches on either side of the rig and never bump anything.  My bug?  Hell no I pull in frontwards lol.

Oh Me too! I worked EMS for a very small (volunteer) force a long time ago. Never had an issue with the ambulance, but probably cause of the mirrors.
Do you still work for EMS Toot?

No.  Back injury forced me to change jobs.  I have an office job until I retire.  I am right at about 30 years of federal service.  I went and found me a new home when I realized I could no longer lift the weights that were required.  I loved it tho.  I think that had to have been my best job ever.  Was a happy 9 years.
