Tomorrow demolition takes place in the hall bath.  When that is done, demo hits the master bath!  Been waiting 30 years to be able to do this and I can't wait till its done!!!

Got the before.  Can get the after when its done.  These people are GOOD.  The tub is out and gone, all new water lines in, new insulation, tile cut, new drain lines in.  Came home and you would never know there were workers here today.  Everything clean.  Tomorrow morning the code inspector comes out, then they start installation on the shower.  Monday its on to the master bath which is being gutted...much bigger mess lol.

AWESOME! I love it when folks get renos done! lol I am a DIY junkie. Bill is taking masonry at school this semester, I can not wait to get into my own place and we brick and tile it ourselves! Smiley
Would LOVE to see before and after pics!!!

My YAHOO today is, I bought a couple of freezer bags of fabric "scraps" at a church rummage sale. When I opened them last night, each bag was actually a quilt top already cut and ready to sew! THANK GOODNESS for small blessings lol Saves me a ton of time on a half dozen simple, children's quilts Smiley AND it was a huge $ savings as each freezer bag was only 50 cents YAY!!!

Today's find was a handmade quilt rack... heart shaped top that swivels. I don't know if it was for quilts or towels (could be for a bathroom) but it was pretty and CHEAP! $3! And once I find my cell phone, I will take a couple of pics lol (Ty decided to hide my phone tonight... he is fun...ya, that's it... fun  Undecided Undecided Undecided)

Before and After - Hall bath.
The plumbing in this tub had not worked well in a long time.  No shower either.  My old man has multiple physical problems and I had to do something that he could use.  Here are the results.

1.  1970's tile.

2. New shower...tile has no grout...thus no mold or mildew.  Its set up with the water controls and hand held within reach of the seat for the old man.   They have a sealed frame around the window and we have frosted that glass.  Who the hell puts a window right over a tub?

3.  Close up of the teak seat for him and the controls.  It remembers the water temperature between showers too.

4.  And the last one lol.  This shower head doubles as a dinner plate.  You can use the handheld, the rain shower or both at the same time.

Now that I have totally bored everyone I am going to make dinner LOL.

Master Bath.  Boy this one was a disaster waiting to happen.  The tile was sliding down the wall (1970's again) could not be repaired anymore. There was a water leak in the wall.  The flooring was old and ugly.  Tile GONE.  Every bit of it.  Can you tell from all the shampoo bottles that a teenage girl uses this one?

1.  Old shower - took them about 3 hours to demo this entire bathroom down to the studs.

2.  Another shot - was glad to see everything GO.   You can see where the tile was bowing out and if you tried to do anything to it (like touch it), it fell in the tub.  Not good.

3.  New shower.  New drywall.  New green board.  New everything lol.   My son installed the flooring one evening when they were gone before they installed the vanity and commode.

4.  Last one..General shot - flooring, walls.

Both jobs were a total of 8 days.  We lost 1.5 days waiting for the city code inspector.  And they ran into a few snags - its a 40 year old house with hidden surprises lol.  But its done.  I will never have to do it again either.

WOWZA! How Awesome is that! Great before and after pics. Bet you LOVE it! That teak seat in the shower is a very good idea. Like how it folds up and out of the way. Smiley
