Motts,

Your favorite is also mine....when searching for a vintage ad for Thorazine (which I have been sadly unsuccessful with) I stumbled across "Thorazine Dream" and was instantly enamored of UE photography and your site.

The unspoiled turn of the century designs are by and far the best and most amazing to see.  Sad when progress takes that away from future generations.  Such a need for "all custom" and "brand new"...and no sense of historic preservation.

I hope you will one day post your four other favorites for us to marvel at.

I know its not popular with most serious urban explorers, and my love for it has been questioned on here before, but Hilltop State is home to me. I've always heard stories for a long time about it (i was 10 when it closed) and i always imagined it like the place in House On Haunted Hill, which gave it a creepy thought that a place like that was near me growing up.(although we all know its nothing like the place in the movie)

I didn't know any of its history until after the first time i went there. After the first time i still loved going there even with how empty and vandalized it is. Mental health stuff has always fascinated me, and being able to spend time in that place really satisfied that itch. I envy the Byberrians who have such great stories and all about PSH, cause i know Hilltop will not get such treatment. I guess its just that home team love that gets me going about it.

I'm just as sad to see it near the end as i am about Byberry.

The giant eyeball is the one I'd been looking for when I found Motts' "Thorazine Dream" gallery.

:)Worcester Stare Hosp has always fascinated me..I do not know why. Unfortunatly or fortumately, as the case may be, I have never been inside. I have spent many an afternoon doing paperwork while parked there. It is almost all demo'ed now. The last building is scheduled tp come down 12/01.  The gorgeous tower still stands proudly, up on that hill overlooking the city
