I recently applied for a direct care position at a developmental disability center. (They have an 80-hour classroom/hands-on training program for all new employees) So, say they call me about an interview...Likely question: "how do you handle difficult situations" Me: stay calm, evaluate objectively, act diplomatically and call for backup if needed. (I'm assuming the only possibly throwable furniture is fairly lightweight) My cover letter outlined my basic experience with direct care in the past. Could any other scenarios be inquired about that might not be covered in the training? (One question at another direct care adult day program interview involved restroom assistance)

Clean up your Twitter Facebook as your employer might be one of those that check em.

In my school, all the classroom staff have completed this course.

You might find some further help on that site by clicking on 'Keypoints about training'
