Went here in late August, the power was still on in all the buildings, even the AC was on in one of them. I might live there for a few days. lol

Love #2, 4 and 8,   nice perspective.     Some are washed out from the sun (happens to me too) but the shots are really good

How the hell did I miss this thread?   Shocked

Good stuff here, Matt. Certainly looks to be worth the trip.

This is a shame about this zoo.  I found some info online about its closure.  It would be nice to see some stimulus money go to places such as these.  I don't necessarily believe in "zoos" as opposed to animal parks, but it would be nice to put this place to use as a rehabilitation center, or something!

I can remember when this place was open, it was really cool walking around on that raised wooden path above the animals.

Now it looks post "Jurasic Parkish"

Cool shots!

Thanks everyone, it's neat to walk around but it's really not as exciting as I would have hoped. It was very 'ghostly' since there were thousands of people around and were inside this abandon zoo. Haha. The raised wooden platform seems so awesome for viewing. Oh well, it's in Detroit, not long before it's ruined. Sad
