I just wanted to let everyone know what is going on.  About a week and a half I found a lump in my breast.  Since then I have had a mammogram and ultrasound.  I went to the specialist yesterday.   They were unable to do a needle biopsy on it because it is too hard.  They are giving it two weeks to see if my hormone levels make it go away.  If it is not gone in two weeks I will be scheduled for a lumpectomy.  The lump will have to be surgically removed to be biopsied.  It's on my left breast on the outside next to the nipple.  It doesn't hurt at all.  It measures 2.9 cm by 3.7 cm and is oval.

I think my lump feels smaller today.  I don't know if it is actually going away or it's wishful thinking.

It doesn't matter, dear.

Stay with the doctors, and stay with whatever regimen they prescribe
(unless you get the heebie-jeeebies)

We'd rather you stay with us, instead of you falling off the face
of the Earth. Seriously.

Please keep us informed, and know that we're on your side.

You ARE a valued person around here, Mayme.
We hope to keep you around for a good time to come. Okay?

There is no such thing as wishful thinking.
I am a believer in visualizations. Imagine it shrinking & getting smaller. close your eyes, take deep breaths and just focus on the lump and imagine it has stopped growing and is now shrinking away!!! Light some candles, play some light nature sounds or instrumental music while doing it.. make it a full body relaxation moment!

The foods you eat doing their job of helping you succeed in this process. Take an extra multi vitamin (I take at least 2 a day) plus some vitamin c tabs.... chewables are way more fun lol and eat LOTS of green stuff! Broccoli, green tea (the one with blueberry ROCKS), kale, spinach, boston lettuce, peas, The fresher the better!!! Avoid as much processed food as possible, rice is good too! Brown rice (should be kept in the fridge after opening the bag even if its not cooked) is a great choice! Oh and avoid fish. The mercury levels in fish in North America right now are incredibly high. (www.usgs.gov for that info)
Fruits like strawberries, blueberries, grapefruits, the more colorful the better.
Do exactly what the docs tell you to do and try some natural stuff on your own (Meditation, vitamins, healthier eating) and check your PM's please Smiley

Wishing you well Mayme.  My mother had something like that.  In her case it turned out to be cysts.  She finally died of a heart attack, but found lumps several times, and went to the doc, and they turned out to be cysts every time.  My wife kept getting fishy looking mammograms, the examinations required much more focused mammograms.  Basically putting her tit in a smaller, tighter ringer.  Quite often the fishy looking stuff had disappeared, and every thing looked hunky dory.  During another one of her Mammograms it happened again.  Instead of redoing the mammogram that day her doc ordered to have a biopsy done.  It turned out to be absolutely normal tissue.  The did a much more detailed history.  It turned out her mammograms, the fishy ones, were done when she had her period.  The tissue in her boobs thickened up slightly during that time, and caused the anomoalous mammograms.  My wife is sooooo glad too ,she hated the "special" mammograms with a purple passion.
